ONLINE SHOP QUESTIONS
What frames are suggested?
Framing isn’t necessary when you make a print purchase, however; for those who wish to frame their artwork, this is what we recommend:
PRINTS (12”x18”)
For our prints, we recommend getting an 12”x18” frame.
- You can also go larger and leaving a white margin (mat) around the entire print.
POSTERS (16”x27”)
For our posters, we recommend getting a 24”x36” frame.
- The extra inches will make for good breathing room around the artwork itself.
MATTING YOUR FRAME
The easiest way, to our knowledge, to get a custom-sized matboard for our 16x27 posters is to visit FrameItEasy. Here, you can custom order an outside width & height of 24x36 (or whatever larger frame size you may have), and an inside width & height of 15.5x26.5 (We normally recommend that the inside dimensions be 1/2" smaller than the artwork’s dimensions so that the mat overlaps your artwork by 1/4" on each side. This prevents the artwork from "falling through" the mat). This option is far cheaper than getting a custom frame.
I've bought a Foil Poster! What now?
First of all, thank you for your support! Let's make sure it's taken care of.
As it's shipped rolled up, after receiving the item, it's recommended to unroll it as soon as you receive it. The polymer used to Foil and/or UV our posters is pretty sturdy, but can be sensitive to frequent temperature changes. This can cause the polymer to shrink or expand, which can slightly warp the poster. Unrolling it and letting it sit will allow the poster to adjust to your home, making it easier to frame.
We recommend framing it using our framing suggestions located in this FAQ page. However, an added tip is to remove any glass or plastic window to prevent any unintentional glare. This way, the poster can fully shine as intended!
What's the difference between a print and a poster?
The main difference is the sizing.
- Prints are 12”x18.” The ideal size if you are looking to display for multiple prints on one wall.
- *Posters are 16”x27”. Perfect for making a statement in a room.
* Our posters also come UV Coated which protects them from sunlight and adds a slightly soft texture to the paper.
The artwork you see mounted along the top of our table are our Poster sizes. Examples of Print sizes can be found laid out on the table.
Can I buy two posters and get two prints for free?
For specifically the online shop, currently, the answer is no.
Unfortunately, due to limitations with Shopify, it does not allow for mix and match deals with sizing.
However, the deal is perfectly feasible in-person at conventions!
How is the artwork packaged for the online shop?
Once your order is placed, it will be processed, packaged and mailed out at our next shipping date
Prints are shipped out in a flat mailer and posters are shipped out in a triangular tube.
When is my order being shipped?
With how busy the convention schedule can be, shipping is done intermittently with our own selected shipping dates. It is important to mention that it does not represent a hard shipping date, as scheduling may be disrupted on our end.
However, you can reasonably expect your order to be shipped on the date chosen or the day after, depending on availability. This date can be seen on the main storefront page.
Why is international shipping so expensive?
With the current shipping providers, international shipping prices are, in all respects, fairly high. Offering cheaper services is not possible at the moment with Shopify, as currently they already provide discounted rates.
Customs fees, duty fees, and taxes is something we will not be responsible for, but we will try our best to prevent any charges that are unnecessary.
Why do the prints have white borders?
It allows for more cinematic compositions!
- We create our artwork in a 16:9 ratio to get a more cinematic feel but standard paper sizes have a 3:2 ratio.
- Rather than cropping our artwork to 3:2, we opted to compose our artwork with the borders.
It’s easier and costs less to frame!
- 12”x18” is a very common size and inexpensive frame size.*
- The white space acts as a visual mat, which saves time and money finding custom mats for our artwork.
What is your refund or replacement policy?
Sometimes, artwork arrives damaged. Shipping providers can mishandle packages, or maybe weather can cause issues.
If your artwork arrived damaged, please send an email to timeskip.store@gmail.com with photos of the damaged prints/posters. The contact form below does not allow for image attachment. We'll be happy to send you another one, although it may take some time to refulfill the order.
If the wrong product is ordered by mistake, please make sure you email us and attempt to correct it before the shipping date comes around or we won’t be able to offer an exchange.
If there is no response after 14 days from the last attempt to resolve a shipping/order issue, your order may be cancelled and not eligible for a refund.
